I had to log in to fix the site today, since an automatic plugin upgrade broke it. It’s been a while. Thank you to those who read my old posts, found them useful, and left their comments. Some of them are really thoughtful. I’m sorry that I don’t have the capacity to reply to them now. Especially for those who asked about specifics of the languages like German or Koine Greek, since they are on languages that I’ve put on hold for over 2 years. I don’t think I am able to answer your questions at this point.
I’m still learning Korean for now, though I’ve also not kept the other blog updated. The main reason is that I’ve found the chronological format less useful for reference. I moved what I had to Obsidian in order to link the various notes. They are published at https://publish.obsidian.md/wl/.
I have also started learning Japanese. Any new notes I write, if any, will also be at the Obsidian site.
Will I come back to write longer-form posts on this blog? I’ve no plans for it at the moment. It seems that my old posts are (somewhat?) useful, so I will leave this site up. I don’t think I’ll be moving what I have here to Obsidian anytime soon, since I’ve no need for it at the moment.
A lot has changed in the past year. It’s likely I’ll focus less on languages in 2023 (and so may end up pausing Korean in the coming year). This is to make more time to focus on improving skills related to my career, as I’ve neglected some of that when I switched to another role.
I wish everyone a blessed Christmas and a great 2023 (even though it’s early). All the best in your language studies. 🙂
